The POSH App - Your Go-To Source For Events Near You..And It's BLACK Owned

If you’re like me, you are well aware of ticketing and event platform Eventbrite. Eventbrite gives you the freedom to search for whatever type of event you are interested in. The POSH app was created and co-founded by Avante Price and Eli Taylor-Lemire. Not only does this user friendly app allow you to search for events nearby, but post and promote your events as well. Talk about a two for one special. Don’t even worry about having a flyer ready. Once you click on that + sign at the bottom of the app to create your event, it’ll populate a selection of gifs you can use to create it. This is why I say this app is user friendly. Event curators also have the option to sell tickets or RSVP only.

It also gives you the option to explore categories to discover the vibe you are looking for - as catchphrased on the app. Categories include party, live performance, activities, food & drink, fitness, art & fashion, networking, and dating.

And check this out, you can even see a list of the people planning on attending. When you sign up, you have the option to add a picture to your profile.

So, if you are trying to lurk and see if your crush will be at the event, the POSH app got you. For those who are event curators, this is also handy when it comes to getting a final headcount of how many guests you should be expecting.
