Dear Homegirl, Say It With Ya Chest

Dear Homegirl,

We are back for the second week of Dear Homegirl, and this week’s theme is, “Say It With Ya Chest.” 

The following affirmations should be, like the title emphasizes, said with conviction. We’re not just saying random affirmations; we are confirming what we already know about ourselves deep down inside. If we don’t know, repeating and reaffirming these statements will become the new norm. I want you to wake up one day feeling like a new person. If you’re the type of person who has never thought or spoke highly of yourself, I am manifesting you to perceive yourself in a new light.

I challenge you to do this: Every morning before you get out of bed to start your day, I want you to repeat the following affirmations: to start your day, whenever you’re feeling down or doubting yourself and your potential, need a pick me up, and to end your day on a positive note.

First and foremost, I LOVE MYSELF! 

I will always put my mental, physical, and emotional well-being first.

How they feel about me does not define me.

Everytime I walk through a door all eyes are on me. I am captivating, beautiful, and my aura screams confidence.

I bring a lot to the table and I will not let anyone make me feel otherwise. 

Them not texting me back does not define my worth, value, or make me love myself less. 

I am the definition of “I don’t look like what I’ve been through.”

Everyone in my life loves having me around. I am fun, and bring good vibes and energy wherever I go. 

My body is tea. My makeup is always on point. My outfits eat down. I just look tf good!

They will never have the version of me who did not show up for themselves ever again. 

The old me faded away to make room for the new and improved version of myself. 

I am going to have everything I want, because I owe myself that. 

Their limiting beliefs will not rub off on me. 

Stress, anxiety, depression, and insecurity came knocking on my door and I didn’t answer. 

Everyone in my life is here because they proved to me that their loyalty can not be questioned. 

I will never look for love outside of me. 

My next relationship will be different because I am already complete. 

I will win! There is no obstacle big enough to stop me.

I pour into my own cup.

Last, but certainly not least, I LOVE MYSELF!
