Bookies, ya girl is back with another episode of The Neighborhood Sessions after a short, unexpected hiatus. Okay, I'm a little dramatic; it's only been a month, but I missed you all.

In this episode I sit down with my new homeboy, Kristian, who alongside his homegirl DJ Rose Gawd, have curated a space for you to enjoy those classic throwbacks that will take you down memory lane. This event is called Auntie Jamz and it takes place on select Thursdays at Hilltop Coffee + Kitchen in downtown Los Angeles.

Kristian is who I like to call a "curator of good vibes" so he knows how to have a good time. We delved into the LA club culture then versus now and whether it has become too exclusive, the use of cell phones at events, and popular hot spots.

Kristian is a lover of all things old school, including the music and vibes. I am as well, but during our game of 'Guess That Throwback' my knowledge for old school music got tested. Don't judge me, please.
